Teams scoring's are as follows:
Each player is scored as normal throughout the tournament. At the end of the
tournament, when all players have been ranked in descending order, the players
from each team should note their respective places in the rankings. Drop the lowest
score from each team so that only 3 scores remain. The Tournament Director will
then add together the actual value for each of the remaining rankings (for example,
a 1st place finish, a 3rd place finish and a 5th place finish will net a team
score of 9 points). The team with the lowest overall score is the winning team!

Official Rules for Team Events:
Team Event scoring is a way for a team of players to participate in a normal
sanctioned tournament. However, you don't have to be on a team in order to play
in a tournament where Team play is allowed. The beauty of the Team Event format
is that it seamlessly blends with normal Constructed or Sealed Deck protocols.
Teams of between 3-4 players can be formed by anyone that wants to be a team "captain".
A captain will pick players from his area (city, town, or school). Keep in mind
that players will not be allowed to jump around from team to team in a tournament.
Tournament Directors should maintain records of the teams. Once you are registered
on a certain team you must play in at least 2 tournaments with that team. After
that you may switch teams, if desired.
Modified to fit the normal sanctioned format, Team Swiss scoring works like
this:
- Teams of 3-4 players must be formed, having a minimum of 3 players. (The 3
player minimum allows a team to still compete if they can only get 3 of their
members to attend the tournament.)
- All teams register with the director prior to the event. At least two teams
must be registered with me prior to commencing play in order for me to institute
team scoring.
- The sanctioned tournament is held as normal.
- After the tourney, the director adds up the highest 3 finishing places for
each team. This is the team's score. (Team's with 4 players will not receive points
for their lowest finishing player.)
- The team with the lowest total is the Team Champion. 2nd lowest total takes
2nd place, etc.
- TIE-BREAKERS If two teams are tied in score, the following two tie-breakers
will be applied.
* First tie-breaker: Look at the head-to-head record of the players from each
team. The team with most wins vs. the other team they are tied with is the winner.
* Second tie-breaker (if still tied after applying first tie-breaker) Calculate
the total team differential earned. The team with the higher total is the winner.
* If the teams are still tied after applying both tie-breakers, then it's declared
a true tie.
