Why I think Vic Fontaine is NOT overpowered, and why everybody should stop whining (txt) ... Zaphod Beeblebroox ... 01.28-21:18 |
I've been playing this game for almost 7 years, and I've played through all the so called "broken" decks. AMS Q bypass, RBM slaughter, Point Denial with Combo Scow, Ajur/Boratus etc. All of these decks were MUCH worse than Vic is, or ever will be. The main reason, is the Vic deck is dependent on self seeding dillema's to download Q's planet, so they can download more cards. Or they download revolving door, then a Q's planet. That requires out-seeding your opponent by 2 dillema's, which is virtually impossible to do against a good opponent. I think everybody needs to take time and learn how to seed properly, to learn how to use dead end to block self seeds and what not, as well as when to pass. This of course, is not even taking into account other cards which hurt Vic decks a lot, for example Villagers with Torches. I played a Ferengi PNZ Vic deck this last weekend, I outseeded him, put a dead end in front of his mission fatigue. He was completely stalled for a few turns, which gave me a couple of turns to build up weapons so I could outgun his ships, and/or destroy his facilities. Just an example. Jesse Carlucci |
