Star Trek CCG Rulebook and Glossary
So, you've mastered the basic game outlined in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
rulebook, and now you want to add holograms, Alternate Universe cards or side
decks to your game. Maybe you want to try out the Borg affiliation. Or you want
to know more about how dilemmas work, or have a question about a specific card.
Now you can find the rules for all of these situations, and more, in the new Star
Trek CCG Customizable Card Game Official Rulebook and Glossary, available online
(initially in PDF format only) in the Star
Trek CCG Product Library. Plain text and browseable HTML formats will follow
soon.
A compilation of all rulebooks and rules supplements to date, updated to reflect
the latest rulings, the Comprehensive Rulebook explains "how to play," following
the style and format of the Deep Space Nine rule booklet. Information is included
on the use of Alternate Universe cards, side decks and other features of the game
not covered in the Deep Space Nine rule booklet.
The Glossary, organized in an easy-to-use dictionary format, features more detailed
explanations of selected topics touched on in the rulebook, definitions of special
terms found in game text, extensive sections on playing the Borg affiliation and
all entries on specific cards. It incorporates and supercedes all Frequently Asked
Questions (FAQ) documents and updates and all Current Rulings through 10/26/98.
Here on the Decipher Web site, The Glossary will reside on the Star
Trek CCG Rules index page in the Product Library. The Glossary will be updated
periodically by new issues of Current Rulings. On site, you will find these current
rulings on the FAQs index
page in the Product Library. At present, the page is empty because all Current
Rulings are up to date and addressed in The Glossary.
We recommend that you discard any earlier FAQ and Current Rulings documents that
you have, as well as premiere rulebooks and all rules supplements issued prior
to 12/7/98. The Deep Space Nine rulebook is a valid subset of the official rules,
useful for introductory play with the Deep Space Nine expansion. It will remain
available in the Product Library, as will the Fajo Collection Rules Supplement
for its special "behind the scenes" information and the Introductory Two-Player
Game rule booklet for its "quick start" rules.
