Winner, Ferengi Deck Design Contest and (1999 Star Trek CCG World Champion)

This is my first Ferengi deck - my first deck, period, since I went into hibernation after DecipherCon. It's a widely discussed concept - Ferengi establishing their nasty trade routes in the Neutral Zone. I gave it a go, and won a tough tournament in Minnesota which had our best non-regional turnout of players - 25!)

How it works:
The basic strategy of this deck is quite simple. Go out and do your missions before your opponent converts you into orange marmelade. Here is how I do it.

In the seed phase put your homeworld (Deliver Message) as close as possible to your PNZ missions. Then put your Trade Routes on the three PNZ missions closest to your homeworld and your Neutral Outpost on the one closest to your homeworld.

In the draw phase, download Brunt, 10 and 01 (or Quark) and Grand Nagus Zek to your Tower of Commerce. Also download Intruder Force Field and protect with with Intruder Alert! Then quickly start playing your personnel to your Tower of Commerce (where your Ferengi CIVILIANs and VIPs report for free) and at some point rendezvous your mission specialists at your Neutral Outpost with your guys at the Tower of Commerce. When you have the skills and CUNNING to complete your Establish Trade Routes go and do that. There is a Scan in the Q's Tent to help you see what is coming, Senior Staff Meeting to get past first seeded dilemma, Dr. Soong to reprogram your Soong-Type Androids to get past various space dilemmas as well as to play them quickly. There are also various other cards in the Q's Tent to help in your quest to start Establishing the Trade Routes.

Some cards/strategies that can hurt this deck are: battle decks, The Big Picture/Q's Planet (caused me a modified win despite my having 165 points), Tachyon Detection Grid, other Ferengi decks that can battle you, and I'm sure there are many more.
