GenCon Winning Deck

Here's the design that earned Dan Allman his seat at the 1999 Star Trek CCG World
Championship. It proves that Assign Mission Specialists is still a viable strategy
even with the errata removing "Captain's Order" from the card. This deck earned
him 6 victories in 7 games and top spot at the GenCon Open. Included are his own

how it works:
The idea for this deck is very simple. Scan your missions and use Assign Mission
Specialists (AMS) to download the personnel needed to pass the dilemmas and complete
the missions. The two dilemmas that give this deck the most trouble are Founder
Secret and Berserk Changeling. The three Barclay's Protomorphosis Diseases (BPD)
are seeded under Evaluate Terraforming, Plague Planet, and Eliminate Virus to
make each mission worth 50 or 55 points, including the AMS bonuses. The one deck
that can really cause this problems is a battle deck, as three Runabouts and a
U.S.S. Danube provide very little protection. So with Blaze of Glory be very careful,
as your only advantage will be speed.
