Borg Assimilation and Conquest Deck
Gareth Edwards (9606409e@music.gla.ac.uk)
March 1998

Introduction:
This is a Borg deck built around assimilation you opponent's homeworld, and destroying his ships, thus preventing him from reporting personel to complete his missions. A battle deck at heart, it uses dilemmas to slow down opponents long enough for an attack to be made, and disable them. I've arranged the dilemmas in combos to clarify how they work.

This deck is combat through and through. You should draw either a tent and a ship, or two tents, allowing you to get the Queen on the table, and a ship. If you're lucky, you'll draw an Activate Subcommands as well, getting you off to a flying start. After that, you're ready to rock. The cards you want for crewing your ship are the Transwarp Drone, Transport Drone, and lots of Assault drones. As soon as you can, get to the Alpha Quadrant, and attempt Assimilate Counterpart. Modulate shields should help if your opponent is a bit too "trigger happy", and an attack with multiple Assault Drones should decimate his crew.

After you've got your counterpart, Eliminate Starship can remove any last chance he has of completing a missions, and move onto Assimilate Homeworld. Throw everything you have at this to get it done ASAP, and prevent him from reporting any more aligned personel. After that, your can reach 100 points at your leisure.

The strategy in a Borg vs Borg game is not altogether different. Get Locutus as a ready made counterpart, go for Earth, and then try to reach 100 points through Assimilating Planets, Establishing Gateways, and Salvaging Starships (probably at Wolf 359).
