Ambassador Corps Acceptance
Hello,

I am writing with good news, you have officially been accepted into
Decipher¹s 2001 Ambassador program!  Now there are some things that you
should know.  First, this is a yearly tour of duty; sometime before the
first of next year we may ask you to reapply for membership.  Soon, if not
already, you will be added to the Ambassador Listserve.  This is an email
forum where Ambassadors can discuss current trends and happenings in the
Star Trek CCG community, and let us know if something is not working (we
encourage honesty, we don¹t want a bunch of yes men).  The list is also a
medium through which Decipher can communicate directly with you.  Sometimes
we will pass along important information through this list that is
sensitive, so you should treat everything that you read there as
confidential.  This means that you should never tell others about what your
have learned on this list, unless that information has been released
publicly by Decipher or if Decipher has told you to release the info.  We
encourage you to post to the list what is happening at your tournaments,
this is valuable feedback to us.  When you are ready, post to the list and
let everyone know that you are aboard and tell a little bit about yourself
and what you hope to accomplish.  You¹ll find a warm greeting waiting for
you.

There are more things that you should expect, including an Ambassador shirt
and an Ambassador bag. These things will come in time so please be patient
with us.  I will also be sending you a couple of agreement forms for you to
sign and return to me.  Please do so quickly.  Thank you.

There are a number of duties expected of Ambassadors, but in short all we
expect from you is to be a positive influence in your community and bring
new players and fun into the game. There are a few requirements we ask of
you in order to carry out that expectation, such as writing a monthly report
to Decipher.  Sometimes we will ask you to assist us at conventions or in
special retail events such as demo tours, these events are a great way to
bring new players into the game and our hope is that you will give us 100%
participation. We hope that you will share our commitment to the highest
quality products and promotions in the industry.  So please get out there
and make contact with those players and retailers. Let them know that there
is a new Ambassador in town.
